Anyone remember those creepy commercials? If some freaky stranger appeard in your house with a big plasitc mask and a cape holding out some burger would you: a) Scream out of fear like a normal person b) take the food even though you dont know where it came from c) wonder what made Burger King go this far.
If this is burger kings idea of "Have it your way" who the hell were they listening to?
Their ones now are even weirder. I can honestly say I have never eaten a Big Mac or a Whopper and I could care less. (I'll keep my healthy heart with low cholestoral and clean arteries thank you very much.)
Two facts worth pointing out: A. Burger King stopped using this guy two years ago and hasn't come up with anything good since. B. Wendy's (6,000+ locations) surpassed Burger King (22,000+ locations) in sales two years ago. More sales in fewer locations means Wendy's must be doing SOMETHING right...
IMHO, Burger King has slipped to #3 in the big chains, with Wendy's now being the main rival to McDonald's dominance.
Sheesh, whoever thought "The King" was a GOOD idea anyways? Even if you don't like clowns, Ronald McDonald was never as creepy as this guy. It's no wonder Wendy's has taken their #2 spot behind McDonald's...
